BK on-set Intro:
In this wellness program, a realistic diet and exercise
plan gets results.
bktrack 1
The first component of this wellness program is exercise
with a personal trainer.
sot Diane Fechisin/Wellness client
"I have a six-year old and she's hard to keep
up with, so I decided I really needed to get in better shape to
keep up with her."
bktrack 2
In just a few short months, Diane has netted some
pretty impressive results.
sot Diane Fechinsin/Wellness client
"I've lost about 24 pounds now and I have another,
I'd say about 40 to go."
bktrack 3
Her trainer, Debbie Griffith put her on a combined
program of weight training and cardiovascular exercise.

Bonnie:"Exercise is obviously important for
your weight loss goals. But for total wellness, you need to make
more changes in your lifestyle than that. Debbie, what can they
do as far as nutrition is concerned? Debbie: Nutrition is very
important. That's why we take them to the grocery store and we
teach them how to read food labels and we give them food choices
that will fit with their lifestyle."
bktrack 4
You don't have to give up the foods you love, just
eat them in moderation, and look for healthier versions.
Debbie Griffith, sot
"A lean redmeat or fish, or chicken, or turkey
would be just fine."
bktrack 5
If you're an OREO fan, choose lowfat Oreos.
And if you like sugar on your cereal, just make sure
it's a lowfat, lowcal choice.
And read the serving sizes, as some cereals allow
just a half cup serving, which is not going to fill you up.
But feel free to fill up on fruits and veggies, which
will net you plenty of nutrients with little fat.
TAG
And as always, Bonnie reminds you to check with your
doctor before beginning any diet or exercise program.
