| BK on-set Intro:
If you travel a lot, here's a way to shape up on the go in just a few minutes a day. bktrack 1 Whether traveling for business or pleasure, it's tough to keep up with your fitness program. bkstand-up No matter how much you pack, unfortunately, you can't take your healthclub with you. But there are other ways to shape up on the go. bkstand-up Here's a quick ten-minute routine that will help tone-up your entire body in the privacy of your own hotel room. bktrack 2 Squats are great for toning your quadriceps and glutes. Legs apart shoulder-width, press your heels into the floor while sitting down on an imaginary couch. Push-ups, for beginners, your knees are on the floor. For more advanced, up on your toes. Try to keep your back in a neutral position. Push-ups tone your chest, back, triceps, biceps and shoulders all at the same time. bkstand-up Don't forget your abs. Make sure you include the upper and lower abdominals. bk track 3 Basic ab crunches will tone your upper and middle abdominals. Try putting your fists on your forehead to avoid pulling up on your neck. And for your lower abdominals, try doing a modified bicycle exercise, extending one leg at a time, while keeping your lower back pressed firmly into the floor. Just a few minutes a day will help you stay toned until you can get back to your regular routine. Getting out of town, doesn't mean you have to get out of shape. TAG Bonnie also recommends you do a quick cardio workout if your hotel has an exercise room, and as always, check with your doctor before beginning an exercise program. |
