Story #172: Bikini Bootcamp

Want to get your bod beach ready?  How about bikini bootcamp.  Katherine Coffee at the Lake Austin Spa Resort showed me her secret moves.

“We’re going to target the areas of the abs, hips, butt and thighs with these three moves. First lift your knee up, then step back into a reverse lunge.”

Whether by a pool, in the gym, in a hotel room or in your own living room, you can do this reverse lunge and knee lift and target your hips and thighs. The movement is also effective on your abs and glutes.  Now, bikini bootcamp move number two…

This center squat and side lift targets the outer thighs, hips, and glutes, toning the sides of the derriere.  And target area number three? You guessed it…the abs.This move is advanced…an ab plank, into knee taps, pulling your abdominals in.  Next even more advanced:  jump wide, then back in, keeping your abs pulled in tight. I think that’s enough punishment…I mean Bikini Bootcamp, for one day.
